Hello my name is Michael. The reason why I want to make my own art is because I don't want anyone else to express the ideas I have. I want to to express and interpret thing I imagine and what could be cool to the mind's eye. I made my artwork with cardboard, wire, soft pastels, clay ,and wax and they were awesome to use. I felt I built up more experience that they felt easy to use. What art means to me is creativity with, love, passion, and effort bring across a visual message. That's why even the simplest art is really unique. My most successful artworkThe portal is my best artwork mostly it amazes me what you can think of before you start an artwork. I'm mostly into sci-fi so I love this artwork from the heart. This artwork is the most successful because of though and effort I put into this piece is different than the other artworks. I put more passion and thought to this piece because my idea intrigued me and with the collaboration with my friends they made this artwork better thant what I imagined. Do-OverThe project I would Do-Over is the Aeroboard. This is a futuristic airplane made out of cardboard. I did enjoy making this piece but I would change the design a little bit because it only had 2 wing which was for time sake but I would had loved to add 2 more in the back so the plane could fly a little bit better. The new design would have 2 extra wings in the back and make it so the plane could actually fly. I also would have liked to use plaster instead paper miche because it would be tougher but would have been easier to put on and easier to paint. Most enjoyed mediaMy most enjoyed media was cardboard. It is cardboard because when I use cardboard I'm really creative with it like new ideas pop in my mind when I have in in my hand. I wanted to do more project with cardboard but since the semester was about to end I couldn't do those ideas. I like cardboard because they help me imagine and make prototypes my plane and my possible future portal.

This artwork is very weirdly shaped but has a unique from. I was originally going to make a box that looks like an X but that seemed to simple but earlier that day I thought to myself about making a boxing that had its ends in many different places. In a way I just wanted it to look weird. With the collaboration with Aaron he added wire but it's barely noticeable but it's there but he added the wire to make the viewer see the little details if they can spot them. What Caesar did was adding the spiral affect, Which I honestly love, and it added a feeling that you are going through a portal. The media that was used was cardboard, wire, and aluminum which was easy to use of course. I called it the portal cause I am a sci-fi freak and I like that stuff and it seems really cool this a representation of a portal.
This artwork is a penguin looking off into the sunset at Antarctica. I worked on adding depth and making the penguin the main focus of the artwork. This artwork is made from clay and it felt really good to use after a while. I was able to use tools that allowed me to give layers to my artwork. My 8th grade artwork which got destroy when somebody didn't get all the air out their artwork and blew up all the artworks in the Kiln. I lost my artwork and that i recreated it I feel happy about it and it looks better than the I did in 8th grade. My goal was to recreate a memory that was lost but now found and finished
My artwork is called Aeroboard. My artwork looks like an airplane that has solid lines on one side and splattered paint on the other side. The artwork is in a shape of a futuristic airplane to show new designs of what airplanes can look like in the future. I used cardboard because I thought that would have been a good material use so the plane could be a long lasting model. Originally my artwork was about to be a boat but the boat ended up looking like something from star wars and I had the idea why not make a futuristic Airplane since stars wars gave me a sense from the future. My goals were to see if there could be a good model or near representation of futuristic airplane designs and that was my goal. I learned that if I actually wanted my artwork to fly I actually needed a more aerodynamic design and less dense material.
My work is a tree made out of wire. It's colorful so people can be attracted to to wonder what it could mean. I created my artwork using wire that was thick which was kind of difficult with some help I was able to work it out. I main twisted an bent the wire to make the wire into a tree. I made this tree because this tree gives us and me wonder of what it means but this tree's only purpose is to give and make us wonder. The emotions towards the tree should be happy but curious. The artwork helped me see that I can use any material and use the materials in to artwork. Form my future artworks this will impact me by wondering in every direction to get an idea that I love that just picking something for a grade. My artwork is a soft pastel mountain landscape that has different color mountains with shadows. To me the seem like rolling mountains. The title should be the rolling rainbow range. I used tinting to brighten the tops of the mountains. I used shading to make the mountain’s shadow for depth. The emotion that this artwork expresses is calm. A good view and the feeling of seeing a good view gives you the feeling of letting and just enjoy. This piece did reach my goals to improve and to use soft pastels in new ways. I learned how to add depth to a landscape artwork while using soft pastels. The piece is not what I imagined ‘cause it turned out better. Chill NightzThis art work looks similar to Vincent Van Gogh artwork starry night 'cause I always loved how much the picture flowed. The title is Chill nightz. The meaning to this artwork is just to look out in the night sky and chill with the flow of the sky. I created my artwork oil pastels and water color paint. You should feel relaxed when you are seeing this cause there is a sky full of wonder out there and it takes your breathe away and makes you feel happy at the same time. My goals with this was to to make the picture seem free flowing and it did. I learned how to use other tools and materials to make the artwork differently better. This artwork was how I imagined cause I just wanted the sky free flowing with my 2 favorite cartoon characters.
